The Honor Flight program is a nation-wide network dedicated to providing Veterans a free trip to Washington, D.C. to visit memorials honoring their service and sacrifice.
Oklahoma Warriors Honor Flight is an established 501(c)3 non-profit hub of the Honor Flight Network.
We utilize volunteers in order to accomplish this mission.
All expenses for this one day trip are the sole responsibility of the Oklahoma Warriors Honor Flight including the flight, ground transportation, meals/snack, and beverages.
The trip is provided absolutely free of charge to the veterans; they cannot spend their own money.
Trained volunteer guardians will provide assistance and accompany our veterans on their flight.
We also give top priority on every flight to any veteran who has a terminal illness.
Honor Flight Network recognizes American veterans for your sacrifices and achievements by flying you to Washington, D.C. to see YOUR memorial at no cost. Top priority is given to World War II and terminally ill veterans from all wars.
A Guardian has the privilege and honor of accompanying a Veteran on their Honor Flight. As a Guardian, you are responsible for the well being of this Veteran for the entire day. Often a family member takes up this honor.
Want to get involved? We’re always looking for volunteers. This is a 100% volunteer run organization and we can always use more help. It takes approximately 1300-1500 hands-on hours to bring each flight to fruition, and that’s before we get off the ground. We need help in a variety of areas including pre-flight operations, fundraising and speaker's bureau, communications, airport logistics, working on various clerical tasks from home, and much more.
