Any man or woman serving in active duty anywhere or anytime during the following dates is a veteran of the war/conflict. Priority is given to veterans of earlier war/conflicts and to any terminally ill veterans.
We need Volunteers to assist with:
If you are a veteran who would like to go on a trip to your memorial in Washington D.C. please click here to apply for an Oklahoma Warriors Honor Flight.
Honor Flight Network recognizes American Veterans for your sacrifices and achievements by flying you to Washington, D.C. to see your memorial at no cost.
In order for Honor Flight Network to achieve this goal, guardians fly with the veterans on every flight providing assistance and helping veterans have a safe, memorable and rewarding experience.
Even before the veterans arrive at the airport, the guardian’s responsibilities begin with training, flight preparation and going over their packets of material. Once the veterans start to arrive, guardians will ensure boarding passes and IDs are available, distribute Honor Flight shirts and badges, get the veterans through security and to the gate, assist in boarding, etc.
From the moment the veterans are in our hands until we return them to their loved ones in the evening, guardians will be asked to treat these heroes as if they are family and ensure that every veteran has a safe, memorable, and rewarding experience. Guardians are volunteers and are expected to pay for their trip. Click here to apply as a Guardian.
